Case study
Mobilising AMP8 network services
Supporting a Tier-1 contractor through AMP8 network services mobilisation — integrating their field service platform with the water company’s systems, and keeping a multi-party programme moving.
The challenge
Mobilising a new AMP8 network services contract means making the contractor’s systems and the water company’s systems work as one before operations begin — across a Tier-1 supplier landscape, with hard dependencies between parties and little slack in the timetable. Integration issues that sit between organisations are the ones most likely to stall, because no single party owns them.
Our approach
We supported the integration of the client’s Big Change field service platform with the water company’s MuleSoft endpoint, using Azure applications and Microsoft Fabric. Working closely with the water company and the wider Tier-1 supplier landscape, we drew on established executive-level relationships to resolve delivery issues as they arose — facilitating focused discussions and workshops to clarify responsibilities, dependencies and next steps, and acting in the programme’s best interests to keep delivery on track.
Outcomes
- Field service and water company systems integrated through the mobilisation
- Delivery accelerated and risks reduced by an integrated, openly communicating team
- Partners aligned across the supplier landscape, with responsibilities and dependencies clear
- Internal teams empowered to run and extend what was built
- Momentum maintained in support of the water company’s ambitions for a data-driven, AI-ready operational environment
